Unconditional love and hard work: A conversation with my dad

Episode Summary

In this episode, I talk with my dad about where he got his work ethic from, how he managed life raising 4 kids, how he and my mom stayed strong through her illness, and fatherhood.

Episode Notes

My dad, Mike Keller, is a pastor in Grand Forks, ND. He spent most of his childhood growing up on a farm in North Dakota where he learned what it means to work hard. He discussed what life was like growing up, the relationship he had with his dad, and how it shaped who he became as a dad. We talk about how my dad managed working two jobs for a lot of my childhood, but yet made his family a priority. We also talked about how he met my mother, the love that they had, and how they stayed strong until she passed away on June 25, 2008. He opens up about his battle with depression and shares his process of grieving.
